Measuring Your Finger

A ring should fit comfortably, just snug enough so it doesn’t slip to one side but loose enough to slide over the knuckle. Finger sizes can change over time, or based on the time of day or weather conditions. The best time to measure for a good ring fit at the end of the day when fingers are warm. You should measure 2 or 3 times to be sure you get the same results each time.

U.S. Ring Sizing

The most popular ring size is 6, with the most common size range being 5 to 7. Women’s rings generally are available from size 4 to 9. Men’s sizes typically range from 8 to 14, with size 9 being the most popular.

Rings that feature a continuous circle of diamonds or gemstones, such as eternity bands, have a specific number of stones mounted around the ring. Milgrain designs also have a set design around the ring. Both of these types of designs prevent resizing due to possible damage to the security of the stones. These rings should be exchanged for the proper size. This type of ring may decrease or increase in price based on the new size.
